The Arlingtones Barbershop Chorus, under the direction of Roger Turek and Mike Swengel, presented their annual fall show.
This year it was "Radiodaze" and simulated an old time radio broadcast with tunes heard not only in the golden age of
radio but also today. Spanning the decades, it had something for everyone.
Jules and Martha Kastens were our "radio audience", fighting the static of their old Philco to hear their favorite barbershop
program.
Radio announcers Nick Paglia, Cal Claus, and Rob Alexander kept the "radio audience " up to date.
The Arlingtones have always been known for their high class acts. The Treblemakers were no(?) exception.
Obviously suave and sophisticated, Harmony Park belted out a couple of swing tunes from the Sinatra era.
Ultrasound debuted with new version "Blue Skies" and a little Billy Joel.
Trackside explained how to get around the perils of modern courtship by cloning. What else?
Chorducopia brought some religious fervor with a couple of rousing gospel numbers. Yes, it's the right picture,
everyone gets some time off now and then.
We hope that our audience enjoyed themselves. We had a great time. See you next year.
And speaking of class acts, what better way is there to end the parade of quartets then have the Spittunes
sing Happy Trails?
